What to expect from start to finish on your hot air balloon adventure

4:30 AM - Hotel Pickup

Our comfortable vehicles will collect you from your accommodation and transport you to the launch site. Enjoy a hot beverage and light snack during the journey.

5:15 AM - Arrival & Safety Briefing

Arrive at the launch site as dawn begins to break. Meet your pilot and crew, and receive a comprehensive safety briefing before your flight.

5:45 AM - Balloon Inflation

Watch in awe as our crew prepares the balloon for flight. The inflation process is a spectacle in itself, with the balloon gradually taking shape against the morning sky.

6:00 AM - Takeoff & Flight

As the sun rises, you'll gently lift off and begin your approximately one-hour flight over the African wilderness. This is when the magic truly begins.

7:00 AM - Landing & Celebration

Your pilot will find a suitable landing spot where our ground crew will be waiting. After landing, participate in the traditional champagne celebration.

7:30 AM - Bush Breakfast

Enjoy a full gourmet breakfast served in a beautiful bush location. Share stories of your flight experience while dining in the heart of the African wilderness.

9:00 AM - Return to Hotel

After breakfast, we'll transport you back to your accommodation, arriving with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day.

Everything you need to know before your flight

What should I wear for the balloon flight?

We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing in neutral colors (avoid bright white). Closed-toe shoes are essential as we'll be walking in grassland areas. Dress in layers as it can be cool in the early morning but warms up quickly. A hat and sunglasses are also recommended.

Are there any age or health restrictions?

Children must be at least 7 years old and accompanied by an adult. There's no upper age limit as long as passengers are in good health. Unfortunately, we cannot fly anyone who is pregnant, has recently had surgery, or has serious heart or back problems. Please consult with your doctor if you have any health concerns.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Hot air ballooning is weather-dependent. If conditions aren't suitable for flying (strong winds, rain, poor visibility), we'll contact you the evening before or early on the morning of your flight to reschedule. If rescheduling isn't possible, we'll provide a full refund.

Can I bring my camera or phone?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring cameras and phones to capture the incredible views. However, we recommend securing them with wrist straps to prevent accidental drops. Our crew can also help take photos of you with the balloon.

How many people fit in a balloon?

Our balloons carry between 8 and 16 passengers plus the pilot, depending on the specific balloon and location. We never overcrowd our baskets to ensure everyone has a comfortable experience with excellent viewing opportunities.

Is hot air ballooning scary?

Most people find hot air ballooning to be a surprisingly gentle and peaceful experience. The balloon moves with the wind, so there's no sensation of wind or movement. The ascent and descent are very gradual. Many nervous flyers find it to be a completely different and much more relaxing experience than they expected.

When to Book

We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially during peak season (June-October and December-January). Last-minute bookings are sometimes available, but popular dates fill up quickly.

Payment Options

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), bank transfers, and cash payments. A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due 7 days before your flight.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days before your flight receive a full refund. Between 15-30 days, we refund 75%. Within 14 days, refunds depend on our ability to resell the seats. Weather cancellations receive full refunds or rescheduling.
